Kate Butler Regan, MSN, a family nurse practitioner, earned her undergraduate nursing degree with honors from Texas Christian University Harris College of Nursing and her master’s in nursing from University of Texas at Arlington. She completed her graduate nurse fellowship in oncology and bone marrow transplant at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Her advanced expertise in nursing includes certifications in oncology, bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy and biotherapy, and advanced cardiac life support.

Kate’s prior experience includes serving as a staff nurse in inpatient hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplant for St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, as well as UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Oncology Nursing Society.

While at UT Southwestern, Kate participated on medical research teams to improve patient care, including a research study to prevent falls among bone marrow transplant patients. She minored in Spanish while in college and has a special interest in providing culturally-sensitive care to cancer patients.

In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, yoga, reading and watching TCU football.
